Positions Available in the Slepak Lab

At the moment, all available positions are filled. There is a postdoctoral training opportunity in Slepak lab for a US Citizen or Permanent Resident who is a recent PhD (Pharmacology Training grant).

However, we are always looking for motivated and talented researchers who might be interested in joining the lab. The candidate should have a proven record of success in previous research (publications) and/or strong recommendations from renowned scientists in the field. The type of position, i.e., postdoc, technician or instructor is flexible and commensurate with the qualifications of the candidate. The salary is competitive and will depend on the experience of the candidate as well as the available funds. Qualified individuals are strongly encouraged to contact Vlad Slepak regarding the current as well as future possibilities. Even if funds are not available immediately, an opportunity might arise in a near future.

The research project will depend on the situation in the lab and in the field. The ideas regarding the research plan are more than welcome, and we will tailor a project that suits both the general direction of the lab and the specific interests and skills of the potential candidate. For example, someone with previous experience and interest in transgenic mice can start the work on RGS and Gb5 genes in vivo. Someone who can crystallize the Gb5-RGS complex and solve the structure is welcome to do so as well. Two-hybrid whiz? The pathway is yours!
