What happens if it rains? Will the poster session be cancelled?
In the event of rainy weather, the poster session will continue as planned. Posters will simply be moved under the awnings in the plaza.

Who is allowed to attend?
Anybody with an interest in the neuroscience research being conducted at the University of Miami. We welcome everyone to find out about the exciting discoveries being made by talented individuals in our research community.

Who is eligible to present a poster?
Any University of Miami faculty, student, postdoc or staff can present a poster on their neuroscience-related research. University of Miami undergraduate students majoring in Neuroscience who have approval from a neuroscience program faculty member are also encouraged to present their research. Due to space constraints, however, there may be a limit to the number of posters allowed. To ensure your spot, please register early.

When is the deadline for signing up to present a poster?
Please submit your name, department, poster title and abstract to the Neuroscience Coordinator at least 1 week before the scheduled event. Please check the Poster Session Page for the actual final deadline date. Slots are limited so please do not wait until the last minute.

This is my first time presenting, how should I dress for the poster session?
The event is casual so dress to be comfortable! Typical Miami weather in March is sunny and in the 70's.

How early do I need to put my poster up?
On the day of the poster session, please drop off your poster at the plaza just outside of the Mailman Center between 9am-1pm. An attendant will be on hand to check-in your poster and will also take care of getting your poster tacked up for display. Slots are pre-assigned to each poster so that the session can proceed in an organized manner. You do not need to hang up the poster yourself, however please be sure to roll up your poster before handing it to the attendant. This will ensure that it's well-protected. Also, remember to return to present your poster during the scheduled poster session from 3:00pm-5:00pm. You can retrieve your poster after the poster session has ended.

What size are the poster boards for the session?
The poster boards are 8 feet wide by 4 feet tall.
