Admissions Procedures 
All applicants must fill out an on-line application form, indicating Interdisciplinary Biomedical Studies as your choice of study. On-campus interviews are also required for all applicants to the IBS entry point. All applications must be received no later than December 31st to be considered for the following year.
Applicant Requirements
Strong applicants should have a science GPA greater or equal to 3.0, a GRE score greater or equal to 1200 (Q+V) and a degree from an accredited undergraduate institution. A minimum TOEFL score is required for students, whose native language is not English. Minimum score requirements for University of Miami graduate applicants are as follows:
- For Paper-Based Testing (PBT): a minimum score of 550 is required
- For Computer-Based Testing (CBT): a minimum score of 213 is required
- For Internet-Based Testing (IBT): a minimum combined score of 59 for the Reading, Writing and Listening Sections is required.
