Ph.D. Programs
Students who are admitted to the graduate programs in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology, Microbiology and Immunology, Molecular Cell and Developmental Biology, Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology, Neuroscience, and Physiology and Biophysics or Interdisciplinary Biomedical Studies (IBS) and who are in good academic standing are supported financially throughout their graduate studies. Support includes:
- an annual stipend of $25,000 (effective June 2008)
- fully paid tuition
- 80% of the University of Miami student health insurance premium for a single person
M.D./Ph.D. Program
Students accepted into the M.D./Ph.D. program and who are in good academic standing receive a full-tuition scholarship to medical school, a tuition waiver for graduate school, and an annual stipend ($25,000, effective June 2008) while they are engaged full-time in graduate studies.
Masters Programs
Master’s degree students do not receive a tuition waiver or an annual stipend, however, students who are accepted into the masters programs and who are bona fide Florida residents may compete for a partial tuition subsidy from the state of Florida (proof of Florida residency required).
