Many people want to believe that after unraveling the genome of humans and other species there is little left to research in biomedical sciences. That is no more true than thinking that if you know the source code of a computer program, all written in zeros and ones, you know what it does and how to use it. We cannot measure how much we ignore, but it is clear that there is still a lot of work ahead to understand how a human being functions, and how it fails in disease. Our graduate program offers a unique, multidisciplinary approach to train cell, molecular and developmental biologists in a variety of aspects of modern Molecular Medicine with a srong basic science background.
